John S. Fry, 83, of Gilbertsville R1, died Tuesday at 3:45 a.m. in Pottstown Medical Center where he had been a patient for one day.
Born in Rothsville, he was a son of the late John and Anna Seltzer Fry. He had been employed by the former Jacobs Aircraft Corp., Pottstown, for 15 years before retiring in 1957.
Since retirement, he had been repairing and restoring antique furniture in his home.
He was a member of Falkner-Swamp United Church of Christ, Gilbertsville R1.
Surviving are his widow, Mabel M. Haldeman [sic-Headman] Fry; a foster son, Edwin L. Christman, Renton, Wash.; a brother, Phaus [sic-Phares] S., Ephrata R2; and a sister, Amelia Adams, Rothsville."
