George Basinger Dies at Pineville
SPRINGHILL, May 21 (Special) - George W. (Whit) Basinger, 69, 46 Bullon, Shreveport, died in Pineville this morning following a short illness.
He is survived by four sons, Neil Basinger, Willard Basinger, Ray Basinger (was not listed in printed obituary) all of Shreveport, D. L. Basinger, Washington, D. C.; one daughter, Mrs. Willie Langston, Glenwood, Ark.; one brother, Frank Basinger, Springhill; two sisters, Mrs. Dan Murphy, Castor, Mrs. J. C. Rowell, Jamestown (listed as Mrs. D. Rowell in printed copy); 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
Services are pending the arrival of relatives and will be announced by Springhill Funeral Home.
