Janie was the dau of William Emanuel BASINGER and Cornelia Ann MILLER. She married Johnny Carl ROWELL on 24 Jan 1909 in Bienville Parish LA.

OBITUARY: MRS. JANIE ROWELL
RINGGOLD - Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Rowell, 70, of Jamestown will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Jamestown Baptist Church with the Rev. V. G. Kelly and the Rev. Simon Combs officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rocket Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rowell died unexpectedly at her home Sunday. Survivors include seven sons, William C., Robert C., R. T. and John L. Rowell of Jamestown, Odie Rowell of Shreveport, Tommy Rowell of Atlanta, Ga., and J. C. Rowell of Columbia, Miss.; five daughters, Mrs. Nealie Spinks of Sulphur, Mrs. Ora Todd of Ringgold, Mrs. Adele Tingle of Jamestown, Mrs. Roberta Killingsworth of Arcadia and Mrs. Mary Boyce of Minden; a brother, Frank Basinger of Springhill; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Murphy of Sibley; 57 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
