Minnie Murphy, 89, of Sibley passed away September 19 at 1:50 p.m. in Sibley following a sudden illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Rigdon officiating. Interment followed in the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home of Ringgold.

Mrs. Murphy was born on June 6, 1895 in Rosebud, Arkansas and had been a resident of Sibley most of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Gertrude Moseley of Atlanta, La. and Ruby Gay of Sibley; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Pat Trichel, Jackie Gay, Gary Gay, James Pullig, and Tommy Aubrey.
