Solomon W. Christie, 82, died at his home, 3200 South Madison street, yesterday afternoon after an illness of six weeks. He is a retired farmer and has lived in Muncie sixty-five years, moving here from Washington Courthouse, O. He was a member of the South Side Church of God. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Barney Stanley, Mrs. Orie Conn and Mrs. William Caldwell, all of Muncie; two sons, Fred and Delbert, both of Muncie; ten grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon at the South Side Church of God, the Rev. Herschel Allen, the Rev. Dewey Hole, and the Rev. Orle Conn officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. The body was taken to the Parson mortuary and will be returned to the residence where friends may call.
