Delbert W. Christie, 3200 S. Madison St., died Tuesday in Ball Hospital after a long illness. He was a former city councilman, court bailiff and precinct committeeman during the many years he was active in Democrat politics. He had spent his entire life in Muncie. He was a member of Delaware Lodge 46, F&AM, and Eagles Lodge 231.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred; a brother, Fred, Muncie; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Stanley, Mrs. Lola Conn, and Mrs. Ruby Caldwell, all of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews, including John Conn, Muncie.
