BOONSBORO - Maurice S. Pryor, 84, a resident of Fahrney-Keedy Home, died Friday, Dec. 31, 1999, at the home.
Born Feb. 18, 1915, in Wolfsville, Md., he was the son of the late Theophilus and Rosa Kline Pryor.
He retired from Doubleday and Co. in Smithsburg in 1979. He also had been a farmer. At the time of his death, he was vice president of Pryor Mechanical Inc. in Myersville, Md.
He was a life member of Grossnickle Church of the Brethren.
He is survived by:
his wife of 61 years, Edna Grossnickle Pryor;
three daughters,
Jane Wolfe and
Barbara Leiboldt, both of Smithsburg, and
Joyce Parker of Front Royal, Va.;
two sons,
Richard Pryor of Smithsburg and
Gary Pryor of Middletown, Md.;
a sister, Ruth Kline of Smithsburg;
a brother, Albert Pryor of Boonsboro;
12 grandchildren;
eight great-grandchildren; and
nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, 11318 Meeting House Road, Myersville. Pastors Tim and Donna Ritchey Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 575, Myersville, MD 21773.
