Mary E. Beans, 96, formerly of Myersville, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1996, at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro.

Born March 3, 1900, in Wolfsville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Theophilis and Rosa Mae Kline Pryor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond C. Beans, in 1938.

She was a member of Grossnickle Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by two daughters, Rosa Michael of Hagerstown, and Ruth Smith of Boonsboro; one sister, Ruth Kline of Smithsburg; two brothers, Albert Pryor and Maurice Pryor, both of Fahrney-Keedy Village in Boonsboro; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by six sisters, Lily Delauter, May Kline, Ina Baumbaugh, Vera Willard, Susan Early and Nettie Woodring; and three brothers, Calvin Pryor, Edgar Pryor and Harry Pryor.

Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Grossnickle Church of the Brethren in Myersville. The Rev. Ronald A. Beverlin will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grossnickle Church of the Brethren, 11318 Meeting House Road, Myersville, Md. 21773.
