Jean Crabtree Douglas age 82 of Oneida, Tennessee went to be with the Lord and Savior on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Oneida Nursing Home. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Jean was born in Stearns, Kentucky on March 15, 1928 to the late Clarence and Carrie Troxel Crabtree. She was a member of the Hazel Valley United Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Warren and Dan Crabtree; sister Francis Stephens.
Jean is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clifford C. "Pete" Douglas; son Michael Douglas; daughter Ginny Lynn Douglas; one granddaughter Dana Michelle Elbert and husband Brian; two great-grandsons Ethan and Kyle Elbert.
Friends may visit with the Douglas family on Thursday December 23, 2010 from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Philip Kazee officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery in Oneida. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Douglas, David Harrison, Tim Belcher, Rick Younce, Heath Sexton, and Mike Walters.
