Clifford C. "Pete" Douglas, age 85 of Oneida, went to be with the Lord and Savior Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Oneida Nursing and Rehab Center in Oneida.
Born in Oneida, Tennessee on January 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Willie and Pearlie Reed Douglas.
He was a member of the Foster Crossroads Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jean Douglas; brother, Ralph Douglas; an infant bother and sister; sister-in-law, Ethel Douglas.
He is survived by his son, Michael Douglas; daughter, Ginny Lynn Douglas; one granddaughter, Dana Michelle Elbert and husband Brian; two great-grandsons , Ethan and Kyle Elbert; brother, Homer Douglas and wife Mabel; sister, Francine Litton and husband Don. He also leaves nieces, a nephew and many other relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Douglas family on Sunday, August 12, 2012 from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Jones & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Dale Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazel Valley Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors provided by American Legion Post # 136.
