Although Mrs. M. W. Howard had been low for some time with a complication of diseases, the announcement of her death, which occurred Sunday afternoon, was a sad blow to this community where she had lived so long. She was a member of the M. E. church at this place and exemplary Christian woman in the truest sense of the word, and will be greatly missed in all the social walks of life. The funeral services were conducted from the M. W. church Tuesday and interment was made at Stockwell cemetery. ( Stockwell News Wed. Nov. 30, 1898.)
