Edwin O. Hobbs III
Edwin O. Hobbs III, 60, died at home Sunday, Jan. 5, 1997, of pulmonary lung disease and cancer. He had not been able to work for several years.
Mr. Hobbs is survived by his wife, Patricia, at home; two daughters, Dena of Ridgefield and Christina of Auburn; two sons, Edwin IV and Timothy, both of Vancouver; eight sisters, Eva Ahland and June Cooper, both of Memphis, Mo., Ramona Crowder, Alice Cardon and Ruth Hart, all of Topeka, Kan., Nancy Jennings of Shawnee, Kan., Margaret Highfill of Atlanta and Martha Rosenbaugh of Buford, Ga.; and nine grandchildren.
He was born Sept. 22, 1936, in Elgin, Ill., and had lived in Clark County for 20 years. He was last employed by Tri Shell Cores Inc. in Vancouver.
Mr. Hobbs was a member of Walnut Grove Church and enjoyed fishing.
A committal service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery, followed by a 11:30 memorial service at Walnut Grove Church. Davies Cremation and Burial Service is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Southwest, Box 1600, Vancouver, WA 98668.
