June Marie Cooper, 76, of Memphis, Missouri, died Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the Scotland County Care Center in Memphis.

She was born November 17, 1937 at Altamont, Illinois, to Edwin Orville and Dorothy Marie Phillips Hobbs. She grew up and attended school in the Greentop, Missouri, area.

June was united in marriage on September 10, 1954, to Donald Eugene Cooper, Sr. at Kirksville, Missouri and to this union three children were born. After her husband's death, June served as pastor of the Memphis Pentecostal Church until her retirement on September 1, 2011. Besides her church activities, June enjoyed crafting, fishing, crocheting and shopping at Walmart.

She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Addison and her husband, Rick, of Memphis and a son, Donald Jr. and his wife, Lorie, of Peoria, Arizona; four grandchildren: Michael Addison, Krystel Addison, Desiree Byrne and her husband, James and Bryce Cooper; five great grandchildren: Ian Hatfield, Tristan Hatfield, Aidan Hatfield, Cooper Byrne and Hawke Byrne. Also surviving are two sisters: Eva Ahland of Memphis, Missouri and Alice Carpenter of Kansas City, Missouri; her church family, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Dorothy "Dottie" Irene Cooper; two brothers: Paul Thomas and Edwin Hobbs and five sisters: Nancy Cruse, Margaret Highfill, Martha Rosenbaugh, Ruth Hart and Ramona Crowder and a great granddaughter, Adriann Hatfield.
