Dorothy M. Hobbs, 84, Basehor in Leavenworth County, died Jan. 10, 1992, at the home. She was born in Atlanta, Ill., and moved to this area from Elgin, Ill., 40 years ago. Mrs. Hobbs was a member of the Full Faith Church of Love West. Survivors include a son, Edwin O. Hobbs III, Vancouver, Wash.; eight daughters, Eva Ahland and June Cooper of Memphis, Mo., Ramona Crowder, Topeka, Margaret Highfill, Kansas City, Kan., Martha Rosenbaugh, Atlanta, Ga., Nancy Jennings, Shawnee, Ruth Adams, Gorin, Mo., and Alice Cardone, Basehor; three sisters, Ruth Schmidt and Mary Stewart of Elgin, and Helen Schmidt, Monticello, Wis.; 23 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 24 step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Butler Chapel, 6300 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan.; burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel.
