WANATAH, June 8--Mrs. Ernestine Peters, 68, wife of Gust Peters, of RFD 2, Wanatah, died at 4:30 a.m. today in Porter Memorial hospital, Valparaiso. She had been ill two months.
The decedent was born in Cass township, LaPorte county, Dec. 14, 1880, daughter of Herman Kuehn and Louise (Gussman) Kuehn. She had resided in Cass township all her life.
On Oct. 21, 1892, she was united in marriage to Gust Peters in Wanatah. He survives together with two sons, Paul Peters, of North Judson and Elmer Peters of Kouts; one daughter, Mrs. Martha Doll, of Wanatah; three brothers, Louis Kuehn, Hanna, and Herman and William Kuehn, of Edgewater, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Paulina Werner, of Wanatah; Mrs. Ralph Smith, of South Bend, and Mrs. Emil Gussman of North Judson; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran church, southeast of Wanatah, and of the Ladies Aid society of the church.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Boehlke funeral home in Wanatah, and at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran church, with the Rev. A. Kuster officiating. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery.
Friends may call at the Boehlke funeral home from 3 p.m. Friday and up until time of services Saturday.
