In 1880 she, her parents, her two sisters, and her brother lived in Lowellville, OH. Her father worked as a quarryman.

In 1900 she and her husband and their three children lived in Mahoning Township, Lawrence County, PA. He worked as a day laborer.

In 1910 she and James and their seven children lived in the same township. James worked as a locomotive engineer and William as a brakeman in a stone quarry.

In 1930 she and her three youngest children lived in Poland Township, Mahoning County, OH. They were paying eight dollars a month rent.

In 1940 she lived with her son John and his wife and two daughters at 407 Railroad Street in Lowellville, OH. They were paying $17 a month rent. John worked as a laborer on a street project and in 1939 had an income of $460 for 40 weeks of work.

In 1950 she lived with her son James, his wife Fay, and their six children in a house on old Highway 422 in Mahoning Township, Lawrence County, PA. Their home was on a piece of property greater than three acres. James worked as a laborer for the B&O Railroad and Fay as a toy maker for Roberts Manufacturing.

Compensation Cases Heard
Five Cases Are Investigated By Referee In This City Today
WOMAN SEEKS AWARD FOR HUSBAND'S DEATH
Referee L.A. Christly held a hearing in the cases of five claimants under the Workmen's Compensation Act at the courthouse Tuesday. He was assisted by Secretary W.J. Graham.
Maud C. Minteer is claiming of the Mahoning Limestone Company, compensation for the death of her husband, James A. Minteer, who was injured on August 27, 1918, and died the same day. The plaintiff alleges that her husband was shifting limestone cars with a crowbar and was struck by a B. & O. train. The defendant alleges that he had completed his work for the day.
