Five Cases Are Investigated By Referee In This City Today
WOMAN SEEKS AWARD FOR HUSBAND'S DEATH
Referee L.A. Christly held a hearing in the cases of five claimants under the Workmen's Compensation Act at the courthouse Tuesday. He was assisted by Secretary W.J. Graham.
Maud C. Minteer is claiming of the Mahoning Limestone Company, compensation for the death of her husband, James A. Minteer, who was injured on August 27, 1918, and died the same day. The plaintiff alleges that her husband was shifting limestone cars with a crowbar and was struck by a B. & O. train. The defendant alleges that he had completed his work for the day.
