Dies; Funeral
Services Sunday
John (Bud) Dodd, age 47, passed away suddenly Friday night at his home in Lufkin according to word received in Athens by his sister, Mrs. Ernest Brown, 203 Frizzell Street.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Moffet, near Lufkin.
Mr. Dodd is survived by his wife, three daughters and one son. One daughter is the former Sue Dodd, now Mrs. Leo Adams, formerly of Athens now residing at Baytown.
Other survivors include four brothers, Alton Dodd, Athens; Darrell Dodd, Sudan; G. W. Dodd, Hillsboro; R. C. Dodd, Wylie; four sisters, Mrs. Brown, Athens; R. G. Hassell, Dallas; Mrs. Pike Adams, and Mrs. Ernest Davis, Ft. Worth.
