He grew up and attended school at Troy Mills and moved to Cedar Rapids, 40 years ago, where he was employed at Quaker Oats and at Brucemore. He was married to his wife Eleanor on February 15, 1975 in Des Moines. He is survived by his wife, a step-son; three step grand-children; a sister, Mary Petro of Independence. Services were held at Turners West in Cedar Rapids, Wednesday, January 4th with the Rev. Roland Hischke of Trinity Lutheran Church in charge. Bearers were Don Novy, Charles Povlick, Raymond Attwood, Leonard Henderson, Dale Attwood, Michael Attwood, Lynn Henderson. Interment was in the Troy Mills Cemetery.
