~0bit~Roy Fred Attwood, a former resident of the Troy Mills community and a resident of Dubuque for the past twenty years, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 1972 in a Dubuque hospital. He was born the son of John Edward and Lena Laabs Attwood on May 5, 1909 at Brookings, South Dakota. He was married to Laura Hugh, who passed away in 1951. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jayne) Kline of Upland, California and Mrs. L. (Gay Dee) Craig of Ontario, California; a sister, Mrs. Mary Deditz of Walker; two brothers, Jim (Emil) Attwood of Waterloo and Rubert Attwood of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 1972 at the Troy Mills Christian Church. Conducted By: Rev. Barton G. Murray. Organist: Mrs. Virgil Chester. Bearers: Harlan Cook, Edwin Powell, Robert Cook, John Kohnen, Frank Thiltgen and Irvin Glanz. Interment: Troy Mills Cemetery.
