Sarah Esther Groover, 103, died Friday at Heritage Inn of Statesboro after a long ilness. The Bulloch County native was a homemaker and a member of Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include one sister, Rubye Groover Hart, Augusta.

The funeral will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Turner Funeral Home with Elder George Daunhauer, Elder Michael Newman and Elder Al Groover officiating. Burial will be in the Middleground Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
