His parents were Willie Avner Groover and Julia Mikell Groover. He died while at the Milledgeville Prison Farm where he had been incarcerated 4 months. He died of an epileptic seizure. (according to prison warden...)
He may have been sent to the State Mental Health Hospital near the prison because of epilepsy as so often happened with people who had physical disabilities or problems.
