Gloria L Carder, 75, died Friday, March 23, 2007. at Fountain West Health Care Center, where she resided. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. today, Monday March 26 at Iles Funeral Home Westover Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Resthaven Cemetery.
Gloria was born February 4, 1932, in Des Moines the daughter of Grace and Floyd Knapp. in 1950, she was united in marriage to Bernard Carder and they had two children, Tom and Kimberlee. Gloria worked as a real estate agent at Iowa Realty for 17 years before her retirement. She attended First Federated Church and enjoyed gardening, flowers, needlework, fishing and working in her backyard.
Gloria was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers. She is survived by her husband, Bernard and Tom (Carol) Carder of Urbandale, daughter Kimberlee, five grandchildren, five sisters, Margaret (Herman) Miller, Pauline Porter, Lucile Woodyard, Carol Roberts and Louise Woods and numerous nieces and nephews.
