Abraham Neuenschwander, son of the late Abraham and Miriam Moser Neuenschwander, was born near Berne, Ind., on January 7, 1888, and passed away at his home, August 27, 1949, at the age of sixty-one years, seven months and twenty days.
In his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized, and was a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Church at the time of his death.
He had been in ill health the past two years. He took a great interest in the work and welfare of the church, and desired to be in God's will. He was a member of the Board of Trustees.
He is survived by three brothers and five sisters: Mrs. Amos Steiner (Katie), Mrs. Levi Steiner (Lydia), Mrs. John R. Steiner (Eliza), Mrs. Simon Nussbaum (Sarah), Sam and Jacob, all of Wayne County, Ohio; Amos and Mrs. Dina Neuhauser, of Berne, Ind.
Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death: Mary Ann, Caroline, Benjamin, Peter and one in infancy.
Funeral services were conducted in the Evangelical Mennonite Church by the pastor, N. J. Schmucker. Interment in the church cemetery.
