Carroll W. "Beaver" Carnicle Sr.,63, of Oelwein, IA,died Sunday morning, April 6, 1997, in Mercy Hospital after a sudden illness. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Christ United Presbyterian Church, by the Rev. John Kerr and the Rev. Richard Emery. Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery, with military rites. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and after 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two sons, Carroll "Bill" Jr. of Cedar Rapids and Danny of Oelwein; five sisters, Grace Voshell of Arkansas, Pauline Bower and Gloria Burns, both of Council Bluffs, Joan Carnicle of Arkansas and Doris Eberhart of New Hartford; and two brothers, Lyle of Strawberry Point and Bobby of Cedar Rapids.

Also surviving are two grandchildren and three adopted grandchildren.

Military rites will be conducted by Ross Reid American Legion Post 9, Oelwein.
