Ruth Agnes Wageman, 92, of Lodi, died April 21. She was born Ruth Agnes McKindley on October 15, 1915, on the Lyons Ranch near Clements.

Mrs. Wageman attended Lockeford Elementary School and graduated from Lodi High School. On May 28, 1938, she married Charles Edward Wageman at the Stockton Court House. They resided on a ranch on Jack Tone Road where she helped her husband and his parents with the ranch. Later she worked on the Lucas Chicken Ranch and in the chicken processing plant for several years. Mrs. Wageman then took her mother's place as a cook at Bruella Elementary School and was employed there for about 15 years. She enjoyed outdoor activities, fishing with her grandchildren at Putnams Lake, and being a wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her son; daughters; brothers; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Charles "Chuck" Wageman; daughter, Dianne Truelock; brothers, Robert McKindley and Mahlon McKindley; and sisters, Erma Allen, Edna Bear and Marilyn Thompson. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, Highway 99 and Harney Lane, with Chaplain Tony Berry of Hospice of San Joaquin officiating. Committal will follow in the Garden of Hymns. Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cherokee Memorial Funeral Home, 831 Industrial Way, near Beckman Road, Lodi.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of San Joaquin, 3888 Pacific Ave., Stockton, CA 95204-1953.
