Edward Busse was born on the farm in Elk Grove March 31, 1872. He was baptized and confirmed in St. John's Lutheran church. He was married to Emma Oehlerking on April 15, 1895, by Pastor Haake. He made his home in Mount Prospect since 1902. Here he continued in business until 1924. He was with his family, charter member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and for a time one of its trustees.
He served also in a civic capacity as public school director of a number of years.
On Saturday last, December 10, he was called out of this vale of tears at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 9 days.
He is survived by his widow, Emma, two sons, Edwin and Richard, and one daughter, Christina, four grandchildren, Edward, Richard, Wallace and Chester, two daughters-in-law, five brothers, three sisters and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services conducted by Lauterburg & Oehler, were held Tuesday afternoon from St. Paul's Lutheran church with Reverend J. E. A. Mueller officiating. Interment was in St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery
