Rita Mae Spiva was twin to Ray W. Spiva. They were born March 3, 1893 in Tecumsah, OK. She married twice, 1st to Otto W. Keele and had one daughter, Virginia, and 2nd to John Lloyd Spellman about 1920 and lived in Los Angeles and had one daughter, Betty Jane. They separated when Betty was about 8 years old (about 1929). She supported herself and her daughters with her beauty saloon business. Later she was a long time friend with Gabriel Taix, who owned a bakery in Los Angeles. When she passed away of a heart attack she was visiting her sisters in Yuba City.
