Livingston--Edna L. Smith lived most of her 89 years on a ranch in the Rock Creek area.
She died Monday at her daughter's home in Livingston.
Born in Emerado, N.D., a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Judson Gilbert, her parents began ranching in 1903 east of Clyde Park on Rock Creek. In 1911, she graduated from Park County High School and in 1913 was married to Roscoe W. Smith in Livingston. They also ranched on Rock Creek.
Her husband died in 1972.
Survivors include two sons, Gordon of Clyde Park and Gilbert of Salinas, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Aileen Ward of Livingston, a sister, Grace Shelhamer of Livingston, six grandchildren, a step-granddaughter and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Franzen-Davis-Bebee Chapel. Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery. The Billings Gazette, Thursday, Feb. 14, 1980
