Judson H. Gilbert Passes at Clyde Park Home

Judson H. Gilbert, aged 80, and a resident of the Shields Valley for some 30 years, died at his home near Clyde Park Saturday evening. Funeral services were held at Clyde Park Tuesday by Rev. E. H. Wendland and interment in the Clyde Park Cemetery. Music was provided by Mrs. S. R. McCarthy, Mrs. Wm. B. Calhoun, Mrs. E. H. Wendland and J. M. L. Payne. The pallbearers were two sons, Philip and Dudley Gilbert, and four sons-in-law. J. M. Jones, J. M. Pepper, R. W. Smith, and A. C. Shelhamer.

Mr. Gilbert came to Montana 30 years ago from New York, where he was born March 24, 1850. He has resided on his ranch three and a half miles east of Clyde Park since coming here. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Sarah Gilbert, who is but a year younger than her husband, and in good health; two sons, Dudley S. Gilbert of Omak, Wash. and Philip Gilbert of Clyde Park; and four daughters, Mrs. Sadie Marie Pepper and Mrs. Alice Jones of Wilsall, Mrs. Edna Smith and Mrs. Grace Shelhamer of Clyde Park. There are 22 grandchildren.
