Joseph Kinney, 77, who was born and lived near Baring, died Saturday, March 9, 1968, at the State Hospital in Fulton. He had been a patient there more than ten years. He had been engaged in farming until his health failed.'
Rosary services were Sunday evening at the Kriegshauser Funeral Home in Edina and funeral services were at 10 o'clock Monday morning at St. Aloysius Church in Baring. A nephew, the Rev. Tom Kinney, of Marceline officiated at the services and burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Mr. Kinney was born Dec. 25, 1890, a son of Michael and Mary Morley Kinney. He was never married and is survived only by nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Tom and Michael William Kinney, and by four sisters, Molly, Mrs. Harry O'Brien, and Kathy, Agnes and Margaret Kinney.
