Grady Howard Boyd, s/o William Franklin Boyd (1889-1968) & Sarah Naomi "Sallie" Jernigan (1892-1964).

Grady Howard Boyd, 48, died Oct. 18 at the Derbendi Khan Hospital, in Sulaimaniya, Iraq, following a short illness. The body flown to the states, is at Baxter Funeral Home.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of God in Baxter with Rev. Brady Reed officiating. Burial will be in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 9 to 10 a.m.
Mr. Boyd had been in Iraq for a period of three years as an employee of the Jones Construction Co. He was a former resident of Baxter and was a member of the Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Aline Adair Boyd; a son, Grady Boyd Jr., Baxter, Route 1; three daughters, Mrs. Peggy Lee, North Fork, VA, Miss Charlene Boyd, Memphis, Mrs. Gene Leftwich, Baxter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Boyd, Baxter, Route 1; two brothers, Clyde Boyd, Detroit, Kenneth Boyd, Lexington, KY; two sisters, Mrs. Sue Reed, LaFayette, IN, Mrs. Faye Bryant, Mason, MI.
