BAXTER Funeral services for Clyde William Boyd, 91, of Huntington Woods, Mich., and formerly of the Boma Community of Putnam County, will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 11, from the Baxter Chapel of Hooper & Huddleston. Burial will be Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today after 2 p.m. at the Baxter Chapel.
Mr. Boyd died on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Mich.
He was born June 18, 1910 in Putnam County to the late William Franklin and Sarah Jernigan Boyd. Mr. Boyd retired in 1972 from General Motors Corporation as a welder.
His family includes his wife of 68 years, Mollie Estelle Olshansky Boyd of Huntington Woods; two daughters and one soninlaw: Shirley Boyd of Mobile, Ala., and Marlene and Clyde Cabic of Grass Lake, Mich; a son and daughterinlaw: David and Jan Boyd of Huntington Woods; two sisters and a brotherinlaw: Faye Beebe of Largo, Fla., Sue and Gary Reed of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother and sister-in-law,Kenneth and Mabel Boyd of Cookeville; six grandchildren: Ivy and Tom Sutton, Jeff and Naomi Cabic, Erin and Michael Boyd; and two great grandchildren: Joel Donaldson and Josh Sutton.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by a brother, Grady Boyd.
