Kenneth E.Whetzel, Age 69 years, a resident of Uniontown,died in the uniontown Hospital, Thursday, Dec. 4, 1980 at 1:30 pm.
He was a retired coal miner of the Palmer Docks, U.S. Steel Corp., and was born March 12, 1911 in Brownsville, Pa., the son of the late Andrew J. and Blanche Whetzel.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II., member of the Adah Gun club, and the Palmer Local Union 6548 of the U.M.W.A.
He is survived by four brothers, Averill Whetzel of Filbert Hts., Ralph Whetzel of New Eagle, PA., Donald Whetzel of East Millsboro, R.D., and Leroy Whetzel of Perryopolis, PA.; four sisters, Mrs. Ellie (Mildred) Davis of Masontown, Mrs. James (Thelma) Taylor of Warren, Mass., Mrs. Raymond (Ruth) Wheeler of Wilowick, Ohio and Mrs. James (Luella) Leonard of Uniontown.
Friends are being received in the J.W. Kisinger Funeral home, 515 Front St. Brownsville, where funeral services will be held today at 2:15 pm with Rev. Darwin Collins of the Uniontown Central Christian Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery, Brownsville.
Kenneth Edward never married, vey close with his Mother Blanche.
