Ralph Willis Whetzel son of Andrew "Andy" Jackson Whetzel and Lilly Blanche Whetsel of Adah, Fayette County, Pa. On May 1, 1939, Ralph quietly married Edith Ulery Staley daughter of Ernest and Anna Felt Staley in the Sunshine Chapel, McClellandtown, Fayette County, PA. Vows were exchanged before Rev. David Hunter of Church Hill Presbyterian Church. Although Ralph Willis Whetzel spent many years in New Eagle, Washington County, Pa. The young couple started off living in Palmer, Fayette Co., Pa where he worked on the Palmer Docks.
