Pooler - LeRoy Edward DeWitt, Sr., 87, died Thursday, January 23, 2003 at his home.

He was born February 21, 1915 to William DeWitt and Jessie Lee Wallace in Tusculum LeRoy was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Pooler and the Richard T. Turner Masonic Lodge of Pooler.

He was a retired radio operator for Texaco having worked for that company for 35 years.

Survivors: wife, Catherine Boxxe DeWitt; two daughters, Linda and husband Bob Lewis, JoAnn and husband Ellis Bland; two sons, LeRoy E. DeWitt, Jr. and wife Wadelle, and David A. DeWitt; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and six step-great-grandchildren; a brother William E. DeWitt of Franklin, NC; and a sister Rosemary Stephens of Tulsa, OK.

Visitation: 6:00-8:00 p. m., Saturday at Massey-Framke Funeral Care. Funeral Services: 2:00 p. m., Sunday at the Massey-Framke Chapel.

Burial: Gravel Hill Cemetery. Massey-Framke Funeral Care 2794 Highway 80 West Garden City, Georgia.
