Doshey "Dody" Dotson Barker, 85, of Twin Falls, Idaho died Sunday, January 17 at Magic Valley Regional Medical Center. She was born February 5, 1913 at Wharton Creek, the daughter of Abraham Lincoln Dotson and Hannah Hayden Dotson and attended school in Lower Wharton. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Twin Falls and the Country Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Baley Barker, to whom she was married on May 6, 1932. She was also preceded by her parents, a grandson, Kermit J. Leir, Jr., four brothers, Buster Dotson, Burl Dotson, Bruce Dotson, and Neal Dotson and by three sisters, Oshey Perkins, Cloe Bolinger and Murl Jones.
Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Kerm Leir of Twin Falls; four grandchildren, Kevin Leir (Sara) of Fort Eustis, Virginia, Kathleen Leir Piazza (Joseph) of Forestdale, Massachusetts, Julie Leir VanSickle (Glenn) of Logan, Utah, and Jeffrey Leir of Twin Falls, Idaho; four great-grandchildren, Caleb and Cody Leir and Angel Armstrong of Virginia, and Zoeanna VanSickle of Utah; two sisters, Oka Stansell of Winchester, Kansas and Dottie Parker of Huntsville and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 22, 1999 at 2:00 p.m. at the White Mortuary Chapel in Twin Falls with Rev. Paul Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Falls Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Twin Falls and may be left at the mortuary or mailed to the church at 209 5th Ave. Nth., Twin Falls, Idaho 83301.
