Catharine Myers daughter of Christian and Mary Kline Myers was born in Rockingham county, Virginia on the 21 April 1841 and died 7 July 1908 in Poweshiek county, Iowa.

She was married the 9th of September 1866 to Samuel S Miller in Rochingham county, Virginia. To this union were born seven children three boys and four girls. John C, Jacob W, Laura A, Dora B, Minnie V, Anna M and Frank M.
The family made their home in Rockingham county, Virginia until 1871 when they came to Iowa and two years later settled on the farm in Poweshiek county which since has been their home.
