Arpard Fassinger, 76, of 958 Morgan Road died Thursday at home after a brief illness.
Mr. Fassinger was born in Stos, Czechoslovakia, and moved to Camillus in 1928. In 1949, he moved to the Jack's Reef area in the town of Lysander.
He was a graduate of Camillus High School. During World War II, he served with the Army in Africa and Europe.
He retired in 1985 after 18 years as a tool and die maker at Carrier Corp.
A son, Paul E., died in 1996.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, the former Doris Webster; three sons, James A. of Waterford, Mich., Donald R. of Tempe, Ariz., and David S. of Camillus; a daughter, Janet E. Bates of Camillus; a brother, William of Solvay; and eight grandchildren
Services are 2 p.m. Sunday at B.L. Bush & Sons Funeral Home, Camillus. Burial is in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Elbridge.
Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, 10 Genesee St.
