This is our beloved grandmother (of 22 grandchildren), who also was a devoted wife and mother of six children. She was an amazing woman and change the world around her for the better in a mighty way.

After my grandfather died in 1952, she ran Myers Insurance Co. in downtown Webb City, Mo., for more than 20 years, well into her 70s. She was active in the B&PW and countless community efforts. She started the first Brownie Scout Troop in Webb City and met for decades with other leading downtown business women in their private "Coffee Club," plotting Webb City's next advancements. :-) She was devoted to Webb City and its betterment and was a very active member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was named Missouri Mother of the Year in the mid-1960s.

She was the strongest person I ever knew, a wise and loving grandmother, a natural philosopher, and a great listener. She was also known for being outspoken, a fabulous card player, a great cook, and humorous as all get out.

She was not interested in smoking or drinking, but she never missed a cup of coffee. She lived to be almost 100 - and we cherished every minute of it.
