Kenneth R. Anderson, 86, of Wilkin County, rural Foxhome, died Wednesday, May 15, 1996, at his home.

He was born in a sod shanty in Hettinger, N.D. on March 13, 1910, the son of James C. and Martha (Loe) Anderson. He attended schools in Rowena, S.D. and in 1921 he moved to Minnesota where he attended District 40 in Wilkin County.

He farmed in Wilkin County, beginning in 1936 and did custom corn picking and corn shelling in Wilkin and Otter Tail Counties for many years.

On Dec. 21, 1937, he married Agnes Hansen at Campbell. After he retired from farming in 1972, they spent the winters in Mesa, Ariz.

Mr. Anderson was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls and served on the school board of the Everdell School. He was a member of the Wilkin County Farm Bureau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Eugene; three bothers, Otis, Donald, and Earl; two sisters, Myrtle Torkelson and Lorene Paddock; and one granddaughter, Teresa Nicolai.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes; one daughter, Sandra; three sons, Martin, Daryl, and Larry; one brother, Herbert; one sister, Pearl; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.

Service: 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls.
Clergy: The Rev. Dan Domke
Burial: Trinity-Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Olson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
