DAVENPORT — Lois A. Arp, 90, of Davenport, died Friday, October 8, 2010, at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Celebration of Life services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge, Davenport. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kahl Home for the Aged, Davenport.
Lois was born in Davenport in 1920 to John and Marie Mohr. She married Jack Arp in 1942 in Davenport. He died in 2004. Lois and her husband enjoyed many different activities in the Quad-Cities through the years. She had a lifelong interest in bowling, but she especially enjoyed following her grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Lowery, Davenport; sons, Gary (Wendy) Arp, Bettendorf, Dean Arp, Davenport, and Kevin (Connie) Arp, Eldridge, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Emille) Wilcox, Texas, Chad and Brad Lowery, Davenport, Jennifer (Carl) Stocks, Bettendorf, Doug (Amanda) Arp, Oregon, and Jordan, Austin and Nicholas Arp, Eldridge; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Anderson, Florida, Judith Welzenbach, Nevada, and Marilyn Dannacher, Davenport; and brother, Bernard L. Mohr, Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and sisters, Thekla Fuller and Ellen Bateman.
