Everett H. "Harp" Campbell, age 84, of Hartford City, IN, died Thursday, September 30, 2010, at Integra Specialty Hospital in Muncie, IN. He retired as an engineer for Chrysler Corp. New Castle, IN after 20 years. Prior to that he worked at Natco Company in Richmond, IN He attended the Matthews United Methodist Church in his youth. He enjoyed playing cards and golf.

He was the son of the late Albert Campbell and the late Clara (Whitcraft) Campbell. He was born in Wabash County, Indiana on February 9, 1926. He graduated from Jefferson Township Schools (Matthews) in 1944 and also graduated from Purdue University in 1950 with an engineering and tool and die degree. Between high school and college he served in Patton's 3rd Army in Europe earning the Combat Infantry Badge.He was married to Betty Henson November 22, 1950. She preceded him in death in April 6, 2001 after 50 years of marriage.

He is survived by;

Three Sons:

Randy Campbell, Boca Raton, FL

Scott Campbell, Coyle, OK

Three Sisters:

Helen Shear, Wabash, IN

Ethel Hoch, Wabash, IN

Irene Campbell, Summitville, IN

Two Brothers:

Danny (Darlene) Campbell, Gas City, IN

Earl (Ada) Campbell, Findlay, OH

He was preceded in death by 3 sisters; Myrtle Adkinson, Sarah Ann Slater and Doris Jean Campbell, 2 brothers; Albert Campbell, Jr. and Lloyd Campbell.

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN where private family services will be held.
