GRACE G. AHLFELD, 100, of Olney, formerly of Edwards County, died at 1:15 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 1999 at Richland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services at Ingram Funeral Home in West Salem with burial in Macedonia Cemetery in rural Edwards County.
Mrs. Ahlfeld was born December 24, 1898 in Parkersburg, the daughter of George and Grace (Bennett) Rosignol. She married Charlton William Ahlfeld February 28, 1920. He preceded her in death February 11, 1964.
She was a housewife, mother and a member of the Moravian Church in West Salem.
Mrs. Ahlfeld is survived by two sons, Donald W. Ahlfeld of Evansville, Ind. and Clyde Ahlfeld of Mt. Carmel; three daughters, Jean Rusk of Noble, Norma Clodfelter of West Salem and Evelyn Tennyson of Streamwood; one sister, Blanche V. Jones of Arizona; 19 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Harold Ivan Ahlfeld, one daughter, Eloise Clodfelter and an infant daughter, Lucille Ahlfeld; five sisters, Mable Diedrick, Lela LaBaron, Bernice Fritchley, Helen Vincent, and Maude Spangler, one infant brother, Carl Rosignol and one half-brother, Paul Rosignol.
