He was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Gibson County, Ind. the son of Charles C. and Hattie (Windle) Adams.
Mr. Adams was a WW11 Navy Veteran and a member of the VFW. He worked for Flintkote for 14 years.
He married Lois V. Deffendall, Feb. 16, 1944 in Morganfield, Ky. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lynda (Larry) Kaiser, Mt. Carmel, and Ann (Ray) Metcalf, Albion; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great-grandchild, eight step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents, grandson, Anthony Wayne Tarpley, three brothers,Alfred, Bob and Lester Adams; five sisters, Freda Adams, Ethel Unger, Eileen Smith, Mary Ann Miller and Pansy Howder.
Graveside services will be held at 2p.m. on Thursday, May 25,, with burial at Highland Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at Short Funeral Home from noon Thursday until the hour of the service.
