ALTA L. MARVIN
Mrs. Alta L. Marvin, 86, 131 Trenton Avenue, died at 3:30 a. m. Monday in Mercy Hospital, Tiffin. She had been ill for several weeks.
Born Jan. 6, 1883 in Wood County, she was the daughter of William and Phoebe Ann (Robbins) Dennis, both deceased. She was married to Clarence W. Marvin Dec. 20, 1926 and he preceded her in death May 28, 1961.
Surviving are sons, James W. Findlay; Ellsworth D., Piqua; Robert L., Tiffin, and a daughter, Mrs. William (Dorothy) Winkle, Findlay, along with 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A son, Arthur D., proceeded her in death.
Mrs. Marvin is also survived by three sisters; Mrs. Nora Garber, Tyrone, Pa.; Mrs. Alva Courtney, Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Amanda Bryan, Cygnet. Two brother and three sisters preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Central Church of Christ.
Services were held in the Coldren Funeral Home, the Rev. Roscoe Adams officiated. Burial was made in Maple Grove Cemetery.
