Clarence Wesley Marvin, 79, 131 Trenton Ave., died of a hemorrhage at 5:30 a.m. yesterday in his home. He had been in failing health for several years.
Mr. Marvin, a retired rubber worker, was employed by the Cooper Tire and Rubber Co. for 32 years. He was a member of the Cooper Old Timers Club and retired in 1947.
Born Nov. 24, 1881 in Hancock County, he was the son of Wesley D. and Virginia (Carter) Marvin. On November 24, 1903 he married Lizzie V. Reed and she died September 27, 1925. He married Alta L. Dennis, Dec. 20, 1926 and she survives.
Surviving are four sons, James W.,Findlay; Ellsworth D., Piqua; Arthur D. (Mike), Findlay; Robert L., Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. William E. (Dorothy) Winkle, Findlay; all of his first marriage; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Hatzl, Madison Wis.; Mrs. Floy Vance, Pasadena, California; Mrs. William (Nellie) Boucher, Madison, Wis.; and nine grandchildren.
A daughter, Juanita Marvin preceded him in death.
Mr. Marvin was a charter member of the Moose Lodge and a lifetime member of the Central Church of Christ.
Services were held in the Coldren Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Irby officiating. Burial followed in Maple Grove Cemetery.
