According to her marriage permission, "Sally" was the daughter of Peter Sprinkle. She married Henry Overholt, 3 Apr 1820, Rockingham Co., VA.
Presumably the Peter who was her father was Lt. Peter Sprinkle, whose known wife was Nancy Redfern. However, Peter & Nancy didn't marry until Mar 1800. It is possible that Peter was previously married and Sally's mother was that earlier wife; or, perhaps Sally's year of birth on her tombstone (1799) is slightly off, and Nancy is her mother. Sally named her first born Nancy (of course if Nancy Redfern raised Sally, Sally would have thought of Nancy as her mother).
All of Sally & Henry's known children were born in Ohio, so the family apparently moved from Rockingham Co., VA to Ohio soon after they married. The 1830 census shows them in Burlington Twp., Licking Co., OH. At some point after Sally's death, Henry moved to neighboring Fairfield Co.
