On 12 Feb 1837 in Crawford Co. Kentucky he married his 1st cousin, Margaret Mary "Peggy" MARTIN, who was the daughter of James and Ruth Cryer Martin [Bradburn]. They had 12 children.
In the 1850 Jefferson Co. IL Federal Census, James Martin (b1823 in KY) son of James and Ruth Martin and brother of Mary is living with the Dare family as a farm laborer. In 1860 Federal census of Jefferson Co, Eiza Bradburn 17 b KY, is living with them as a domestic.
Hubbard is known as the founder of Dareville in Jefferson Co. IL.
