Gertrude Otto, 91, 54 Fourth Ave. N and formerly of Waite Park, died Friday at Assumption Nursing Home, Cold Spring.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, with the Rev. Robert Voigt officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Daniel Funeral Home. A St. Margaret's Society prayer service will be at 3:30 p.m. Parish Altar Society prayers will be at 4:30 p.m.

Mrs. Otto was born January 31, 1891 in West Union to the late John and Mary (Kramer) Raden. She was married to John Otto July 11, 1911 at Holy Angels Church. The couple operated Otto's Store in Waite Park from 1912 to 1940. She was a member of Holy Angels Church, St. Margaret's Society and the church Altar Society.

Survivors include daughters Mrs. Clyde (Erma) Shumway, Thief River Falls; Mrs. Julian (Irene) Klein, St. Paul; Mrs. James (Rosella) Quick, Phoenix, Arizona; Mrs. Kenneth (Vivian) Winter, San Jose, California; and Mrs. William (LaVerne) Thull, Cold Spring; 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John, January 8, 1970; son Vincent; daughter Adeline DeWinter, a grandson, a great-grandson, three sisters and three brothers.

Gertrude Otto was born January 31, 1891 in Minnesota to parents John Raden (Germany) and Mary Kramer (Germany). Her husband John Otto had died. She was a resident of Cold Spring. She died January 14, 1983 at the Assumption Nursing Home in Cold Spring and was buried at the Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Information was given by Mrs. William Thull of Cold Spring.
